Tsumori Chisato F/W 10/11 fashion show. I know that this is currently the Spring 11 fashion shows but this is sooo amazing that I couldn't help but post it!!

Let me introduce you...

... Tsumori Chisato, a japanese fashion designer that I first discovered in Le Bon Marché a few years ago and that I love more and more as the years pass by. Everything is deliciously delicate and wonderfully new for my eyes used to occidental fashion shows, without aiming at a revolution (who needs one??), a mix between occidental confort and japanese refinement: the prints, the burst of colours, the fluidity of the fabrics, the elegant confort of the cuts... I wish to have enough money soon to buy some clothes there.

I really feel that there is a real cultural renewal coming from Asia... this is just the beginning. I feel like Asia will talk to us about restrained sexuality and environmental harmony. Well, this is just the beginning of a feeling. Let's just enjoy now this images from Tsumori Chisato's website.

Read this morning in Fashion Daily News: A new DA for Thierry Mugler Couture. I'm sure taht this brand, with such a strong brand image, has still a LOT to give.

Rosemary Rodriguez quitte la DA du prêt-à-porter Thierry Mugler et laisse place au styliste Nicola Formichetti, secondé du designer Sébastien Peigné au womenswear, et de Romain Kremer chez l’homme. Le dispositif est prometteur.
Nicola Formichetti, 33 ans, est le nouveau directeur de la création chez Thierry Mugler. Son équipe se constitue d’un responsable de création femme, Sébastien Peigné (30 ans, directeur de studio chez Balenciaga depuis 2006 auprès de Nicolas Ghesquière), et de Romain Kremer (28 ans), responsable de création homme. Ce dernier est un ancien lauréat du festival international de mode d’Hyères, et défile avec sa propre maison au calendrier homme à Paris depuis 2005. Joël Palix, président de Clarins Fragrance Groupe et directeur général de Thierry Mugler SAS, est conscient d’avoir fait un bon choix : « Multiculturel, techno addict, Nicola possède une réelle expertise de la mode, de la communication, de l’image et du divertissement. En collaborant avec de jeunes designers talentueux, il donnera une nouvelle impulsion à la création française ». Popularisé par son travail avec Lady Gaga dont il est le styliste personnel, Nicola Formichetti collabore depuis de nombreuses années aux séances des photographes de mode les plus en vue, de Nick Night à Hedi Slimane, et détermine comment habiller les mannequins sur les campagnes de nombreux clients. Quand Uniqlo met en place sa grande offensive à Paris en 2009, c’est à Formichetti qu’il fait appel pour coordonner le style de toutes les silhouettes, des campagnes et des vitrines. Le styliste, né au Japon et élevé entre Rome et Tokyo, est également fashion director du Vogue Hommes Japan.
Si depuis 2008, Rosemary Rodriguez a ravivé avec talent les codes hérités de l’époque faste de Thierry Mugler, ce nouveau triptyque où deux designers travailleront sous l’impulsion d’un styliste influent, constitue la promesse d’un retour à une mode spectacle, racée et certainement futuriste. Aussi, quand Thierry Mugler version 3.0 fera son retour pour l’automne-hiver 2011-2012, la maison devrait capter l’attention du plus grand nombre.

The 13-year-old obviously genius girl of Style Rookie points out that she is sold there like she was 10 years ago i.e. like a shool girl. She thinks it's very distubing to see that Britney while respecting the rules of american feminity is still looking like a teenage girl and that she consciously staged that "to comment on our culture's disturbing obsession with her". Well, I do not agree with the last part of the analysis but I definitely agree with the first part... despite I don't see the problem in looking younger!

I want to read one book of each author.... I've already read the 7 books of HP franchise by J.K. Rowling, I think I've already read one book by Danielle Steel, a book about a 50-years old woman that is dropped by her husband after 25 years of marital life and has to start evrything from the scratch. I liked the story, full of optimism and romance :-)). I've tried to read a novel of Stefen King but I did not like it... I have to try another one!

Il a par ailleurs indiqué qu’il était probable qu’il n’atteigne pas en septembre les objectifs imposés par l’un de ses principaux créanciers, le fonds Lion Capital. "Ces éléments, parmi d’autres, font craindre que nous ne soyons plus en mesure de continuer à exercer nos activités." Voilà qui est clair. Le document officiel révèle aussi d’autres détails concernant la plainte déposée par "un" actionnaire (aux Etats-Unis, les class action sont autorisées), M. John Smith contre Dov Charney. Dov Charney, le PDG et fondateur d’American Apparel, y est mis en cause pour ne pas avoir mené les contrôles comptables adéquats et pour avoir embauché des étrangers en situation irrégulière. Rappelons qu’aujourd’hui American Apparel est à la tête de 279 magasins dans 20 pays et emploie environ 10 000 personnes. Le premier magasin American Apparel a ouvert en 2003. La croissance trop rapide d’American Apparel serait l’une des raisons de sa situation alarmante actuelle. Entre le second trimestre 2009 et second trimestre 2010, le groupe a ouvert 7 magasins. En 2009, la situation financière d’American Apparel était déjà plus que compliquée.

This is such a unic brand with a very very strong concept; it's just unthinkable that AA disappear and I'm sure they gonna find a solution... but this is a good exemple of the success' dangers, of how (justified) confidence in future can lead to recklessness... Hope I'll remind that when it will be my turn :-)

Update: I went today to AA because I wanted to see some clothes for my A/W shopping spree and I was just amazed by AA prices: 50euros for a very simple shirt and 70 euros for a very simple skirt....that's definitely too expansiv for basics I think!

"Ryan Seacrest Prods. is developing E!'s first dance show starring Lady GaGa's choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson.
Although details have not been confirmed, Gibson will be one of the several cast members on the show, which centers around choreographers and dancers in El Lay.
