When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it.

Clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer. Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics; they can be lost forever. "Cela marche déjà et tout le monde peut 'tweeter' en laissant simplement un message téléphonique à l'un des numéros internationaux suivants : +1 650 419 4196 ou +39 06 62 20 72 94 ou +97 316 199 855 . Le service mettra instantanément le message (sur Twitter) en utilisant le mot-clé #egypt", ont annoncé des responsables de Google.
"Aucune connexion Internet n'est nécessaire. Les gens peuvent écouter les messages en composant les mêmes numéros de téléphone ou en allant (sur le site Internet) twitter.com/speak2tweet", ont-ils ajouté. "Nous espérons que cela contribuera à aider les gens en Egypte à rester connectés dans cette période très difficile. Nous pensons à tout le monde là-bas", concluent Ujjwal Singh, le cofondateur de la société SayNow, qui vient de se faire racheter par Google, et AbdelKarim Mardini, directeur produits pour le Moyen-Orient et l'Afrique.
Cette annonce de Google intervient alors que selon le site américain Renesys, spécialisé dans la surveillance du Web, le dernier fournisseur d'accès à Internet qui fonctionnait encore en Egypte, celui du groupe Noor, a été bloqué lundi. Google, dont la devise est "ne pas faire le mal", est un défenseur affiché de la liberté d'Internet.
Les autorités égyptiennes ont interrompu une très grande partie des services d'accès à Internet depuis le début des manifestations demandant le départ du président Hosni Moubarak. "Comme beaucoup de gens, nous sommes rivés aux informations en provenance d'Egypte et nous avons réfléchi à ce que nous pourrions faire pour aider les gens sur place", peut-on lire dans une note publiée sur le blog officiel de Google et intitulée "Un peu de travail ce week-end qui va (espérons-le) permettre aux Egyptiens de se faire entendre".
